Got our signed court documents today! Of course need to wait until they get translated into English I guess to be more useful. But very excited to be one step closer.

Trying to raise about $1,000 more to cover the last of our travel costs. Our 16 year old daughter would love to be able to travel with us and help bring her new little brother home so we are working hard and asking for help to cover the additional plane ticket.

Counting the days until we get to see his little smile again.

So happy today to learn our court date went well and our adoption is final. Just need to get things scheduled to pick him up.

Our daughter is really hoping she can come with us to pick up her newest little brother. Alot of logistics to work out. Hoping to raise another $1,000 in the next couple of weeks so she can come with us to pick him up.

We passed!!!!! Court was at 9am Bulgarian time this morning and we were lucky enough to get through with no issues and are now the proud parents to this adorable little boy. Meet Yoan's Mikael Spence. Such a journey but would not have ever changed a thing.

Alot to do still to arrange the pick up  trip in November. Please consider helping us out and make a donation to our FSP to help us bring him home quicker.

We could not be more excited than we are right now. Can't wait to give him a hug.

Hard to imagine that in less than 30 hours a judge in Europe can make a decision that can change our lives and the lives of a 4 year old little boy forever. To bring this adorable little guy into our family and more importantly to give him the mom and dad he deserves. It's been a long process and is not over yet but this next milestone just seems epic. Stay turned everyone.

Only 4 more days till our court date. It does not seem like it was over a year ago Lynn and started down this path to adoption. When you think about the time required to do this, I guess it can be discouraging but let me tell you it goes by fast. Although these last few days sure are dragging out.

So much still to do to get the house ready for our newest little guy and still fundraising to help cover the final costs for the puck up trip.

Fingers crossed everything goes well Tuesday the 13th at 9am....

Only 8 days left until our court date! We would have never thought we would be parents again but are so excited to bring this special little guy home with us.
